Day 2: July 8, 2000

Arrive in Munich, meet the tour manager. Visit Dachau Concentration Camp en route to Munich. Enjoy an afternoon panoramic city tour of Munich. Welcome dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: July 9

Board a long distance charter coach for a walking tour of Augsburg focusing Martin Luther and the Augsburg Confession. Continue to beautiful Rothenburg ob der Tauber where you will enjoy a 90 minute walking tour with a local guide. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: July 10

Morning drive to Coburg and visit the Veste Coburg: the castle where Luther hid for three months in 1530 during the Augsburg debates. Continue to the Hümmel factory where the famous figurines are produced. Drive to Eisenach. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5: July 11

Morning tour of Eisenach including visit to Wartburg Castle and the Luther Room. In the afternoon visit Eisleben and tour the house of Luther's birth, the house in which he died, and the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. Continue to Wittenberg for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: July 12

Morning tour of Wittenberg with visits to the home of Martin and his wife Katherine von Bora Luther, the All Saints Church, and the Town Church. Afternoon drive to Berlin for a panoramic city tour. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: July 13

Morning tour of Berlin including the Reichstag (House of Parliament) and the roof Terrace with glass Cupola. Visit museum at check point Charlie. Afternoon drive thru the rural countryside of Mecklenburg to Joerdenstorf about 135 miles north of Berlin. Stay the next three night with local host families.

Days 8 and 9: July 14 – 15

Day 10: July 16

Leave Joerdenstorf to return to Berlin. Afternoon tour of Berlin includes the Charlotteburg palace. Dinner and overnight in Berlin

Day 11: July 17

Early Morning flight back home to USA.
