In the shadows of the Parthenon, St. Paul addressed the people of Athens about the “Unknown God.” Follow in his footsteps and retrace the roots of early Christianity. Visit Ephesus, where St. Paul made his European headquarters for two years. Visit Patmos, which is known as the site of the Revelation of St. John Divine, Rhodes, Heraklion, Santorini, Delphi and Corinth. This historical and spiritual tour will give you new perspective on the Church, as you learn about its earliest days, and the lives of the first Christians.

Day 1 – Depart USA

Depart USA on an overseas flight, enjoy dinner and entertainment aboard the airplane.

Day 2 – Arrive Istanbul

Arrival in Istanbul. Transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 3 – Tour of Istanbul

Begin your day with a tour of Istanbul, which was the capital of the Byzantine Empire. Visit the mysterious labyrinth of Topkapi Palace, former residence of the Sultans. We stop briefly by the Hippodrome, early site of reckless chariot races and then the Blue Mosque with its deep blue Iznik tiles and 260 stained glass windows. Late in the afternoon, drive to the port and embark your cruise ship. Overnight on board the ship.

Day 4 – Istanbul

The cruise vessel remains docked in Istanbul until 18:00. Half of the day remains at your disposal to explore the city on your own. Ship will sail at night.

Day 5 – Myconos

Our first port of call is Mykonos. This island combines in a unique way the luxuriant and sophisticated lifestyle with the simple and yet charming life of a Cycladic island. Stroll Mykono’s narrow streets, bordered by famous boutiques, visit the hundreds of tiny chapels and take pictures of the famous windmills! Ship will sail at night.

Day 6 – Patmos / Kusadasi

This morning we arrive at Patmos, a holy island for the Christian religion. It was here that John wrote the Book of Revelations during his exile by the Roman State. Shore excursion tour to the Monastery of St. John and the Grotto. In the afternoon we reach Kusadasi; a lively Turkish port and the gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the most impressive ruins of the Biblical world! Shore excursion takes you to see the ruins in Ephesus. Ship will sail at night.

Day 7 – Rhodes

The ship enters the port, which was once dominated by the Colossus, one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World. Rhodes is one of the largest of the Greek islands. It has a cosmopolitan flair but is also rich in history. The Crusading Knights of St. John left the medieval town of Rhodes, which impresses nowadays every visitor. Optional tour to Lindos. Ship will sail at night.

Day 8 – Heraklion, Crete/Santorin

Crete is the largest in size of all the Greek Islands, and famous in legend as the birthplace of Zeus, Father of the Gods. Optional tour takes you to visit Knossos, the mythical palace of King Minos and the Minotaur. Our next stop is the island of Santorini; a sickle-shaped volcanic structure with breathtaking views to the Aegean. Ship will sail at night.

Day 9 – Disembark. Athens & Corinth Tour

End of cruise, return to Piraeus and continue with our tour of Athens. We will visit the Acropolis to see the ruins of the Parthenon, Erectheum and Propylae. We shall also ascend Mars Hill, view the Agora (ancient market place where Paul spoke to the Athenias. We will also see the House of Parliament, the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Presidential Palace, Hadrian's Arch, the Panathenaic Stadium and the Metropolis of Athens. We continue our tour to Ancient Corinth. Here under the shadow of the towering Acropolis, Apostle Paul preached and lived for two years. Visit the ruins of the ancient city where Paul worked with Aquila and Priscilla. See the remains of first century shops, the agora where Paul's trial by Gallio took place, the Fountain of Peirene, Temple of Apollo and the Bema. Return to Athens for Farewell dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – Departure back to USA

Transfer from the hotel to the airport in Athens and fly back to the USA. Arrive home.
